Welcome to The Frosted Rose Bakery! I'm Carolyn, the owner and cake artist behind every creation. My journey into the world of custom cakes started long before I picked up my first piping bag,it began with a love for the arts.
By the time I was 16, I was a professionally trained gospel and opera singer, and it was during this time that I met Kathy, a talented singer and custom cake baker. I always thought is would be amazing to bake as a profession, and I would dream about one day being able to craft such beautiful, edible masterpieces myself. But life had other plans for a while.
After high school, I ventured into the world of interior design, where I worked as a muralist and learned the art of painting and faux finishes. Covered in paint, with music playing in the background, I found joy in creating beautiful things. But when my husband and I welcomed our daughter, Amelia, in 2011, born at just 28 weeks and 1 lb 15 oz, my life took a dramatic turn.
Amelia’s stay in the NICU was tough, but it gave me something incredibly special, a deep connection with her nurse, who ended up becoming my very first cake customer. Those late night conversations sparked the birth of The Frosted Rose Bakery. It was a way for me to blend my love for art with my newfound passion for cake. From painting to sculpting, I infuse each cake with creativity, deliciousness, and a little piece of my heart.
Today, I’m proud to bring you cakes that are as much works of art as they are delicious. Every creation is custom made with love and care, down to the smallest detail .Whether it’s a birthday, wedding, or any other special occasion, I’m here to make your vision come to life, one slice of art at a time.
